nemaplus® Ameisenfrei in use

Control ants with nematodes

Our product nemaplus® Ameisenfrei contains nematodes of the species Steinernema feltiae. These are natural enemies of ants. In direct contact, they kill both queens and workers. Therefore, ants avoid the treated soil and ant nests. With nemaplus® Ameisenfrei ants can be controlled or driven away biologically, sustainably and effectively. The application is completely safe for humans, pets and plants.

How do nematodes work?

Nematodes are approx. 0.5 mm long threadworms, of which there are over 20,000 different species worldwide. The nematodes penetrate the pests and secrete a bacterium with which they live in symbiosis. The bacterium kills the pest and the nematodes multiply inside it until it is consumed. The nematodes then move on to infest the next pest. This process repeats itself until all the pests have been controlled.
