Biological trap for effective control of adult black vine weevils in the garden.

Content

Contains two wooden traps filled with nematode gel of the species Steinernema carpocapsae. Those traps are sufficient for 20m2 or 10 running meters of hedge.

Application

Remove the foil and simply place the trap board filled with nematode gel under the infested plants with the openings of the grooves facing downwards. Depending on the infestation, one trapping board is sufficient for up to 10m2 or 5 running meters of hedges. The nematodes are active for 6 weeks after laying out the trapping board. In case of heavy infestation, replace the trapping board after 6 weeks.
Application period: beginning of May to end of September

Damage caused by black vine weevil and its larvae

The black vine weevil is one of the most important pests in gardens and roof gardens. Its larvae feed especially on the roots of plants, which can cause wilting and eventual death. The adult beetles feed primarily on the leaf edges of the affected plants, resulting in the typical and unsightly "bay feeding".

Anwendung war sehr einfach

Wir haben 3 Fallen im Garten ausgelegt, weil unsere Ligusterhecke derart zerfressen war. Nach wenigen Tagen haben wir viele tote Käfer unter den Fallen gefunden. Wir hoffe, dass wir nun ruhe haben und die Hecke sich erholen kann.

Sehr gute Wirkung, leider auch gegen Kellerasseln

Wir haben uns 2 Fallen in den Garten gelegt, weil wir große Schäden an unseren Rhododendren hatten. Nach ein paar Tagen haben wir viele tote Käfer unter den Fallen gefunden, aber auch einige Kellerasseln, die uns eigentlich nicht stören. Trotzdem immernoch deutlich besser als Gift zu versprühen!

Application of nematop® weevil-stop

Simply place the trap near the infested plants. Make sure that the grooves point downwards. The nocturnal beetles hide during the day and crawl under the trap. There they come into contact with the nematode gel. The nematodes now penetrate into the beetles and fight them.
