Controlling fruit maggots with nematodes
Fruit maggots include the larvae of the codling moth and plum moth. The larvae love to eat fruit, leaving behind characteristic and unappetising boreholes. From September onwards, the overwintering larvae hide behind the bark and spin themselves into a cocoon. There they are easy prey for nematodes, which are sprayed onto the trunks and attack the larvae.
Application of nemapom®
The nematodes are stored in a clay mineral powder and are simply mixed with water and the enclosed wetting agent according to the instructions on the inside of the packaging. The nematode solution can then be sprayed onto the tree trunks using a standard pressure sprayer or backpack sprayer. As nematodes need moisture to survive and are sensitive to UV radiation, we recommend using the product in damp and overcast weather conditions. Sehr gute Wirkung
Hatte große Probleme mit Obstmaden und habe Nematoden jetzt 2 Jahre in folge angewendet. Die letzte Ernte war schon viel besser und ich bin gespannt, wie es dieses Jahr wird. Ich kann nemapom definitiv weiterempfehlen!
